I'm not sure how closely you followed the primary among the Democrats. But, in the beginning, the supposedly "biased media" seemed firmly in Hillary's camp ... that is until Obama began proving himself. And as any sports fan, myself included, in the country will agree the proof is in the "winning." Much to the chagrin of Hillary and what you describe as a "biased media," Obama proved himself a winner! Juxtrapostionally, McCain has long been a "biased media" favorite. Remember "The Straighttalk Express?" The media loved this and McCain got great mileage from it. But McCain's inherent problem is that he packed his inner campaign advisory positions with lobbyists, this at a time when America's economy has been suffering severely suffering. Even top-ranking longtime Republicans complained about McCain's VP selection. If anything an example of leadership is certainly the ability to select good people to fill needed positions. And McCain--choosing political, even media, opportunism--failed miserably in his choice for VP. Few in this country would feel safe with Sarah Palin as president!!!f The media had nothing to do with McCain's selections for his campaign. Indeed, appointments McCain would make as president, during the most severe economic times since the Great Depression, thus become amplified. And it was the media's responsibility to report this. And given that Bush did such a lousy job at this -- conduct of the War in Iraq/Katrina/political hacks rewriting science, health and environment papers, etc. -- McCain appeared on a similar course. No, the media -- unlike its behavior in the run-up to the Iraq War -- has done its job! In fact, some would argue that the "biased media" has not fully reported what it could have reported -- as evidenced by the below reference:talkingpointsmemo.com Something else you're failing to realize MJ is how the electorate is behaving at the Senate race level. I don't see how you can claim that both the national and state media outlets are biased. The Democrats are winning or close to winning undreamed of senate seats not because of the media but because of the prevailing behavior of the party that has been in power! Here's a reference relative to the senate seats:alternet.org >>>He truly is the least prepared candidate of both the Democrat and Republican Parties in the last 100 years.<<< Were this the case he would not have won the three presidential debates. Moreover, a true majority of Americans don't agree with this particular Republican talking point you've chosen. I predict, over the next couple of years, that you'll eventually warm to the existence of an Obama-Biden Administration. I firmly believe both America and the image of America in the world will become truly emboldened.
