Sounds like you two agreed as to what was fair, whether you where aware of it or not. If you see the world through fairness-colored glasses, I suppose you could look at it that way. But that's not what happened. If either of us cared about fairness, some question of unfairness would have come up somewhere else. We were divorcing, after all. But it never did. The distribution was strictly utilitarian. I had no use for a gun and he had no use for a schefflera. Duh.
