Also campaigned on reducing taxes for others... Yes but remember but for his overall claim of tax cuts he's using a baseline of what the tax rates will be after the tax cuts expire. Zero net change from that baseline is an increase from today. Also he's counting give always that bring net tax liability below zero as a tax cut. I would not. As for tax simplification I'm with you. (except I'd probably want to drop nominal rates more)
