I am not sure how much rope we have for this topic on this thread but here goes...

Let me try again to present Rand's proposition - that Kant's denial of the identity of consciousness leads to communism - in a more logical fashion:-)

By denying that reason is an objective means of grasping reality, Kant implied that all knowledge is essentially detached from reality, hence advocating subjectivism. Since this implies that all knowledge of reality is subjective, understanding the nature of man(identity) is also subjective. This implies that knowledge of what is good or evil for man - the science of ethics - is also subjective. Since ethics is subjective, all forms of social organization of men are subjective and cannot be inferred from and does not correspond to any observable facts in reality. A subjective means of deciding on the social organization of men (politics) in practice results in arbitrary means decided by the whims of the strongest (some form of dictatorship) or based on collective statistical based approach based on what is good for society (communism).
