Once we get past the incendiary rhetoric of the campaign, and McCain/Palin aren't speaking for the Reps any longer, that will be the opportunity to offer a new bipartisanship.

There won't be any change with the "Dems are terrorist lovers!" yokels, but they don't represent the whole Republican party. In fact, Obama reaching out could help the moderate Reps who want to take back their party brand and make it respectable again.

Obama gets to do signing statements now. Can you say "I get to do whatever I want." ?
Oh, I love it.
