Ted, > Are you going to vote yes for the hi speed rail? Is it expected to pass or fail?

I was thinking of voting against it, but after second thought, I'm back to undecided.

With the state in a severe fiscal crisis, probably worse than anything you've seen in your years here, I don't think it's wise to add yet more debt to the balance sheet.

On the other hand, I think we should cut entitlement programs in favor of infrastructure works like high speed rail. Maybe even renewable energy projects, though none of the current propositions related to renewable energy will do the trick.

So it's a tough choice for me. Don't vote for infrastructure and risk allowing entitlement programs to become further entrenched, or vote for infrastructure and risk even worse fiscal problems in the future. Basically I really detest the limited financial freedom from paying people to be irresponsible.

P.S. - I only saw one poll on the high speed rail proposition, and it looks like it is going to pass.
