Voted in Spring TX 8 AM. Two people in line before me. About 20 voting booths, all occupied when I walked in, but by the time I'd signed the book, a couple places opened up. Poll workers all very friendly folks, joking with one another - two black, four white - just a comment on diversity there - all mature in age, either retired or near retired. Fewer yard signs in Houston area this year than I remember from past elections. Have seen one Obama and a few McCain signs in my neighborhood. Guess neither sides putting much effort into this area. Voted straight R. Went by an early voting place a couple times this year and the lines were too long. Much quicker to vote on election day. What were all those early voters thinking?
