Took three hours to vote this AM.

What state or city would that be? Took me five minutes in Elk Grove Village, IL.

I voted here in Evanston, IL at 10:00 am. I walked into the voting site and expected to have to wait. But there was no one in line. I was directed immediately to the check in table, gave my name, was handed a ballot, voted and walked out. It took me all of three minutes.

And, for my efforts, I was given an I sticker saying that "I voted" which was worth a cup of coffee at the local Starbucks.

So, I can say without a doubt that my vote for McCain in Illinois was not completely wasted. It was worth about $1.65 in Starbuck's currency.

PS: My wife went over to vote at 6:00 am this morning before getting ready to go to work. It took her an hour at that time. Looks like lots of commuters had the same idea at the same time.

Are you in one of the NH border towns - with an overabundance of MA refugees??

I'm guessing that I might be just a bit north of you and I walked right in and voted, no line. The longest line was just outside the door where the boy scouts were selling their candy bars!

I saw lots of "I Voted" stickers around town - so I think the turnout has been good here. (What surprised me a little was that I didn't see more students from the college in my district going thru last minute registration. That line was empty.)
