Here's an interesting article. Turns out the real reason he's leaving is that he was caught ala Eliot Spitzer with a prostitute (who specializes in s&m). Says he's leaving at the end of the year? He already gone. He was going through a nasty divorce and his wife had him followed. Wonder if the rest of the 4th estate is going to protect him.

Andrew S. Fisher, the president of Cox Television, will retire at the end of this year after 24 years of service, Cox Enterprises Inc. announced today.

Leadership of Cox Television will be taken over by Executive Vice President Bruce Baker. A 20-year veteran of Cox Television, Baker has served as vice president, general manager of WSOC-TV and WAXN-TV in Charlotte.

He has also held the roles of station manager and director of sales for WSB-TV and general sales manager with WFTV in Orlando.

Fisher joined Cox Television in 1984 as vice president and general manager of WSB-TV. He was named president in 2001, overseeing 15 television stations in 11 markets across the country and three national television sales representation companies.

Before joining Cox, Fisher was a news executive and reporter. An eight-time Emmy award winner, Fisher won consecutive Emmys for Editorial Excellence from 1987 through 1991. In 1985, he won Emmys for both News Excellence and Editorial Excellence, and in 1979, won another for special coverage of Pope Paul's visit to Chicago.
