no need for your confusion - jerry is in the business: >>TO ALL-----Dram prices are heading south again with current pricing for 16megs at 4.20-4.40 and 64megs 21-24 but rumors persist that pricing on 16megs will be sub 4.00 very shortly with MU determined to keep market share they have captured over the last year pricing could approach 3.50-3.75 shortly.This will push back crossover perhaps an extra quarter or two and will likely take most of the profit out of 64megs short term. While the Koreans are talking about cutbacks the Chinese continue to increase production to record levels.Squeezing profit out of Drams is going to become less and less likely in comparison to investment costs and an exit by some vendors could happen. Regards Jerry<< btw, just as jerry says, when people leave the dram business for good is when the tide will change. all the "new era" bull thinkers that believes nobody gives up in a glut are wrong. somebody has to throw in the towel instead of sending amat to all time highs.
