I think Jen and his colleague failed to take into account the fact that the Treasury's borrowing needs have increased by $408 bn since the articles were written.

That's a lot, bound to skew their conclusions. Although I haven't drilled down into things in any detail, I keep reading about next year's $ 1 trillion budget deficit. That kind of money raising will surely pitch rates higher, hurt the dollar.
