Re: A Democratic sweep of Congress and the Presidency is inherently inflationary since there will be fewer checks and balances.

VS. what the Republicans have been doing the past few months?

The "lottery society" embraced by the Republicans, with a few winners and everyone else a loser, just doesn't seem to be as effective as the opportunity society of the Democrats.

We'll be seeing a decrease in the number of superyachts, but an increase in the number of good roads, good schools, and healthy children. You do that by paying working wages to a larger fraction of the population and creating fewer princes out of incompetent CEOs.

It may be fun to fantasize that you'll be the next air-headed, incompetent corporate flak or bond trader to get paid $400 million for screwing up, then owe next to nothing in taxes, but in the end you're more likely to be hit by lightning.

I don't think you can get fewer checks and balances than we had in the last 8-years. It was basically rubber stamped due to fear and intimidation.
