I think that's probably unfair.

While Jackson had some less than stellar moments during the primaries, and was probably conflicted over Obama's success, I don't really doubt that the emotion was genuine.

Sometimes it's tough when change leaves you behind.

DS, let us appreciate and understand the feelings of the older generation of African Americans. This is the time to heal before we all embark on the tough road ahead. And as Obama said yesterday that if there are any folks who want to destroy the good, they will be dealt firmly. I suppose when he said so he was not just referring to the leaders of rogue nations but also would include divisive elements from within the US such as the neocons, the ultra left and the ultra right etc.
