Getting past the seniority system in the House can take years. Much more fun to be COS for a popular new president with a working congressional majority.

I think he is a great choice, you need someone who can be abrasive in that position. I'm still hoping he brings back Larry Summers for Sec. of the Treasury, he's another abrasive guy.
