Even the people in Newark were well-behaved. I've been to Newark, lived there during the race riots ... totally amazed. He brings out the best in people.

Owner Believes headshop Vandalized Due To Obama sign

By Anonymous | The Tampa Tribune

Published: Nov 5 2008

The owner of this Headshop believes his Obama sign is the reason behind approximately $4,500 worth of damage done to his shop by masked republican hooligans who shouted "Down with socialsim", and "Here's some change you can believe in."

Clearwater - Frank Armstrong was preparing to go for a jog early this morning when he noticed his headshop – adorned with an obama poster - had been vandalized with obscenities by hooligans who were still chanting anti- Obama slogans while shaking their fists at the sky.

Armstrong discovered the damage to his shop about 8:30 a.m. Clearwater police and Armstrong said someone etched obscenities and "Here's some CHANGE" into the walls, set the poster on fire and may have urinated on the door (though this could have been beer- officials are investigating). Officers and Armstrong think the shop was singled out because of its poster.

"This is definitely a hate crime," said Armstrong, a 41-year-old physician and massage therapist.

Police estimated damage at $4,500. Police classified the incident as "criminal mischief/hate crime" and said it appeared "to be politically/racially motivated because the victim affixed a poster supporting the Obama campaign to his shop.

The angry hooligans could not be reached for comment, but one was heard exclaiming, as he ran out of sight, "I'm moving to France."
