This company is worth more to the shareholders without a buyout. All they have to do is get their earning back on track. This is likely since their in a hyper growth market and make great products. They have hit a little bump with the Cascade acquisition. I could see them going up to the 70's or 80's next year.

Glenn, just read your comments inre a buyout. Don't you think the most damning evidence of all are the firm "no comment" and "declines to comment"? This has always been the case. There is never a problem to comment when there are no talks. This is a yes without the risk of litigation in the event nogiations fall through. I've been bought out several times (USRX, UUNET, CSCC, etc) and this "feels" VERY similar to the feel of those stocks just prior to buyout.<i/> We have been through a few of the same and I some others. The feel is identical. Do you really think 48 bucks a share?? Seems rich to me, although I'd gladly take the money and run.<G> I believe I calculated 8 times revenue which was what Stratacom seemed to be worth to Cisco. I did look this up at one time but am not making time to look up the shares outstanding now. Kind of busy during market hours. I also doubt Mory would let it go for less. It was his baby. I personally believe ASND to be worth 45-50 per share as an aquisition. Glenn PS Not much stock activity today but a lot of speculation in buying Nov 35 calls. More than average as has been the case for days.
