The old rightwing base is finished as a national force. It is a Dixie and Oil Patch only bunch, and most of their unity amongst themselves is based on ignorant, lemming like brainwashing from rightwing radio fascists, and xenophobia again based on ignorance and inbred prejudices. Also, almost no one in the rightwing base actually benefitted under Bush-Cheney, except the few who worked with the Halliburton type crooked interests which got away with a lot of our money. 90% of the rightwing base suffered badly. And they are just stupid to care about more tax cuts for the super rich and Exxon types.
