the PUBLIC debt did not grow under clinton. The "debt" as it pertains to payments the US govt is forced to make through entitlements grew, but that is such a huge debt to overcome it is impossible to show a positive balance if you use those medicare payout projections.

Everybody trying to obvuscate the Bush fiscal mess tries to cloud the issue saying the debt grew, as if this negates the fact that Bush spent 5 trillion dollars- wrong.

The public has figured this out, obviously.

CLinton erased national debt. The national debt clock in Times Square was going backwards for two years under Clinton. Reagan left a huge debt. Bush though dwarfed it by far. The true debt from the Bush years isn't even known yet. It may be, as I predicted years ago, some 7 trillion dollars in NEW debt. Do the math per US household. That is what you paid to support these scoundrels.
