From what I'm hearing out of Ohio, at least, Dem. turnout was abut the same as 2004, and Rep. turnout was less.

The vaunted Demo. GOTV effort seems to have been overstated, and large numbers of the Republican base stayed home.

This is where I read it but it really doesn't matter at this point. Whether it's true or not - we have a new Sheriff in town.

Can rally the troops and get the economy moving

OR

is he the 2008 version of Jimmy Carter with minimal experience and a party that will be scrambling to distance themselves from him in 2 years?
