I think he's a very energetic, enthusiastic, and ambitious politician. Don't know what the local problems were in San Francisco, but I'm sure the residents there have their own ways of dealing with them.

Seriously, how hard is it to run SF?

However, there is talk of him running for governor in 2010. Since he's already tossed in his chips with the San Francisco liberals, I don't know how well he'll do in a larger context where he has to impress moderates and conservatives across the state.

He's made some stupid comments over the last couple of years.......including that one about gay marriage.....but I don't know how well he's managed the city. I hate to sound biased but he looks to me to be just 'another pretty face'.
