The one report I've heard says that he's quite an effective administrator, at least when it comes to "pothole patrol" and other stuff like that. It's the stuff that makes national headlines, however, that gets him in trouble. I know he's popular in SF.....so maybe he's doing a good job. Last year, the mayor's son here got busted. My relatives from FLA heard about it and asked me if he was a bad mayor. He's actually a pretty good one but negative news can hurt your image.
