I'm struck by the constant temptation of the minority in congress. One faction says we have to make governing impossible for the majority and the public will turn back to us to govern. The other faction says something like we have to demonstrate responsibility and help with governing where it makes sense. Then we win votes for our responsible actions. Will be interesting to see that debate work it s way through the Republican caucuses on both sides of the congress.
