During McCain's run for the nomination, he kept asserting that he was a true Conservative. He never concerned himself with the Moderates. Even so, I really expected the Republican Party to moderate a little, in order to keep the Democrats from total power. Not once, during this election, or during the past eight years, did the Republican Party moderate any stand. We are now faced with a Democrat Party which will try to weaken our war and defense against Islamic terrorism. I am also fearful that they will also weaken Israel, the ONLY peaceful, civilized country in the Middle East. They will also weaken our ability to lower our demand for foreign oil, which is sold to us by those who hate us. I just hope that Obama is smart enough to channel his party in a positive direction and not one that will result in further deterioration of our safety and our democracy.
