Have thought about it some - this is what I posted on PfP on this:

..I think Obama will govern from the middle. A very smart, cautious man

1) Thats what a lot of his voters have told themselves.

2) Denial is one of the stages.

3) Goes against his life history. Has never done a single centrist thing (as opposed to posing - "how to handle" white people, he called it in his book). Wrote that he associated only with radicals in college, continued that in adulthood (sought out Wright BECAUSE of his radical rhetoric), Ayers, Dohrn, Khalidi. Voted to the left of NARAL on the baby born alive act. Most liberal voting record in Senate.

4) Really believes (or why hang out exclusively with radicals) the radical political stuff he's been hearing his entire life, will start out trying to make his mark by taking the country as hard left as he can.

5) Any centrist turn he takes will have to be forced on him.

6) Best hope is the incompetence of the Pelosi-Reid-Obama triumvirate. The absence of any significant accomplishment in his life (except for self-promotion) is real.

I am not that concerned about an Obama Presidency...now that he has been elected my thought is that his number one priority will be to get re-elected...and in terms of governance, that will move him toward the center by necessity....

That assumes the US is a center right country..........
