Congratulations. And I wish Obama and the country and the world well. But there is no joy this day for lesbians and gays. Should there be for women at large if marriage in its 'historical' sense is upheld? Considering it meant becoming property and there being no such thing as 'marital' rape, I would think not. But what do I know? maybe in another 40 years women will really be free, and gays lesbians will be, also. sorry to see 70% of blacks in CA supported the marriage ban. Won't stop me from supporting them but it's rather an ugly sharp slap in the face.
