Chris Matthews admits the MSM is in the bag for Obama and will protect Obama. So much for a free press

People here understand law enforcement is a dangerous two edged sword and you would read many posts outraged at police excesses. Against that, we understand we live in a dangerous world with vicious enemies pledged to destroy us. We will see how Mr. Obama handles that when the "testing" that Mr. Biden promised happens. I'm guessing neither he nor Big Media will be averse to warrent less wiretapping when he's the one doing the tapping.

Credit cards are pretty much part of the fabric of our financial system now - yet the credit card companies seem to have amassed way too much power at the expense of consumers - and it's not easy to switch cards because most have similar terms. You know the issues... interest rates increased at will without cause, payment dates set for Sundays and holidays, teaser rates, credit scores based on secret formulas... does the right favor government rules on the issues mentioned above to even the playing field here? Or should government butt out?

I appreciate your rational contrary comments on the board, but I don't quite understand the credit card issue you brought up. I've never paid a penny in interest or finance charges, get rebates of about $1000 a year from the cards I use, and never have a problem with payment due dates. What kind of protection do I need government to provide? Other than ensuring that the conditions for using the card are clearly spelled out - and I have no complaints there - I'd just as soon not have the government stay out.
