Sarah Palin didn't know Africa was a continent, claim McCain aides

I saw the Fox interview. She thought it was a country and "South Africa" was a state within it (sort of like South Carolina).

O'Reilly however said this was no problem - she could always be tutored on geography, government, history, basic arithmetic etc. Brought up to speed things the average 4th-grader knows. So no big deal. At least she's no snooty know-it-all elitist ;}

Some could see what Palin was really made of. Many weren't able to see it (probably because she is so much like them), others saw it and voted for the McCain ticket anyway. It is disturbing McCain/Palin got as many votes as they did. As the revelations sink in maybe the many holdouts that think Obama is the antichrist will realize the better ticket won.
Wishfull thinking.

The matter of the truth is many McCain voters do NOT care how ignorant Palin is. Yesterday I was out on the street, a guy (white male in his late 20s/early 30s) asked for some direction, and then he asked me whether I voted, and he continued, "I voted for McCain". I said in this town not many people vote for him. And he said, he knows, and he is tired of Obama, so he voted for McCain. and then I asked, "don't you feel Palin is so stupid?". he said, no, he think she is gorgeous, blah, blah...

Some men use their hormone to vote, not their brain<g>

"Just one immediate question for the members of Team McCain who are now unloading to the media. If these reports are vaguely accurate, why was she okayed as running mate - a position that would have put her the proverbial heart-beat of a 72-year-old man away from the presidency - with virtually no vetting?"

One answer: they did not want to win and assured this by not raising as much money on purpose, selecting an unqualified person as a running mate and not campaigning hard in states that might have helped. I think it was all orchestrated as they know how impossible the problems are ahead. MP

Joe Biden thought there was TV in 1929 and Roosevelt was in power.
