Where are you drawing your conclusions about price supports for fruits and vegetables? Fruits and vegetables aren't that expensive in comparison to say, meat but people aren't eating very many and haven't for at least a couple of generations. If that argument is silly then where is the counter argument that isn't just CW which is often wrong. Markets exist because there is a government structure that supports markets. Sure you can barter in the wilderness but try using money without government. This is where the right wing ends up looking like a bunch of children. This is where silly ideology trumps reality. Yes, you do equate wealth creation with UNEVEN wealth creation. To you equal wealth creation equals COMMUNISM or SOCIALISM or MARXISM. You don't want to float all boats, you only want to float some of them. That is aristocracy. This is another place where right wingers sound like gradeschoolers. The creation of wealth depends on society. It is not an independent venture by a single, brilliant individual. Warren Buffet understands this as does (at least) Bill Gates Senior who says that it takes a village to raise a millionaire. That village includes government (the collective we) and the individual we. People and organizations don't create wealth out of the mud, the village provides everything they need to create wealth so why shouldn't they pay back part of what they took from said village? Why do you right wingers constantly want to take and take and take and never give back? So you say that a 0% tax rate doesn't make any sense. What tax rate does make sense and why?
