How do you make that a metaphor? A metaphor for what? We were talking about a payoff. That's not a metaphor for anything. That's cash exchanged.

At least Elmer didn't make up that metaphor, which is what you were accusing him of doing.

I could think of several "metaphors" to describe the actions of the former Intel employee who tried to steal trade secrets.
