Mostly Republicans in my family, but they've not been happy with the cultural shift in the Republican Party toward hillbillies, plumbers, and snake charmers. All except my Dad. He's a "more money" William Jennings Bryan / Ronald Reagan populist who thought Mike Huckabee was terrific. The rest of my extended family find him embarrassing. If you want to now why declining real estate values are the result of too many immigrants or some other illogical concept, he can explain it all. Not that it makes any sense. But he can faithfully channel the inner craziness of the Reaganites just by expressing his own views. Helpful at times, as I'd never guess how they think on my own. .
