What about boolean operations... maybe even on strings?

For example, many people, myself included, define "include all dates" internally as dates less than "12/31/99".

If people read the fine print in FBN 2000's documentation, it specifically states (translating from Latin): "FBN assumes no responsibility for the execution of variables not ending in the word 'date'". Hats off to the guys in the lab for weeding out "phantom" date variables like "SEdate", "MANdate" and "UPdate". But that's why we've never lost a Y2K contract!
