Re: "I said the official reports on these expenditures... had been filed."

But not the final official filings, right?

Re: "I'm still waiting for you to provide a link for your claim that the GOP announced that they were going to audit all of that spending. Where's that link, Buddy?"

How can you be 'waiting' when this is the FIRST time you asked for such a thing? LOL! (You never asked for such a link before... although I've asked you several times now for links to *anything* that would be a refutation of the claim made in that original article. Are you just trying to divert attention now from the fact that you have not come up with any?)

Well, anyway, since you are asking me *now*, I will noodle around and see if I can find anything for you.

(Can't say I don't 'go the extra mile'. :-)

Meanwhile... my original requests still stand: if you can show anything to the contrary (other then your personal opinions) I'd be happy to see it, Bill!

Here is what a Google search came up with, Bill:

Looks like there have been a variety of new items referring to RNC looking into the expenditures (seems to have kicked-off with the NewsWeek profile of the campaign... but now many other outlets and blogs are reporting it):

Palin clothes spree bigger than we knew

swamppolitics.com

McCain-Palin: the recriminations. RNC lawyers are on their way to Alaska to audit Palin's wardrobe expenses. “I think it was a difficult relationship,” said ...

brainsandeggs.blogspot.com

(Just my opinion... but I would not be surprised if the RNC wanted to verify everything that they are legally RESPONSIBLE for declaring properly, before they file their final reports with the federal authorities. Just would be prudent.)

There is also a political group (non-profit org) that has filed a complaint with the FEC requesting an audit of the 'Palin spending': Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) argues that the shopping spree which the party made for Palin violates the Federal Election Campaign Act.

Also, it looks like the RNC asked the FEC to audit the Obama campaign's contributions (so the FEC will have to vote on whether to perform an audit of that or not):

So... it looks likely that *each* campaign will have their own internal audits of their campaigns... and possibly the Federal Election Commission may get around to it's own audits (if the FEC votes to approve that).

So --- now that I've tried to answer the question you asked, have you come up with any information to address the questions I asked of you earlier, Bill?
