Tim, the charge was never to 'substantiate anything against Palin'.

(I never made any personal claim about her, either way.)

The question asked was are there audits of the campaign spending going on now, (or that will be going on)?

I was asked for evidence about the claims made in Newsweek and on FOX that the spending was being audited.

(So I quickly showed what appears to be publicly known about that question right now. No doubt more details will be known in due time.)

As far as the TWO DIFFERENT requests that have been made of the Federal Election Commission to conduct it's *own* audits of each of the campaigns, (apart from any audits that the campaigns may be conducting independently...) as I clearly said: the FEC will vote on whether to do that or not, for each request.
