I'm against the $700bil (or more) bailout plan, that applies to all the companies that received money from it.

I'm not against FDIC insurance. (maybe in a theoretical ideal real world it wouldn't need government involvement, but its not an issue where I'm going to take risks trying to get there from here, at least not when there are millions of less sensible government actions to deal with first)

I'm strongly against GM, Ford, and Chrysler trying to get bailouts.

What do you think the consequences of no money going to them would have been or would be?

Short term? Probably a somewhat worse slowdown. Long term, less additional government debt, and less moral hazard creating future problems.

What do think should have happened with Lehman?

I think letting it go bankrupt (and be acquired) was the right way to handle the situation.
