O.T. - This is not directed at anyone in particular. But I find, on many threads here and elsewhere, that there is still quite a lot of vitriol being slung, 3 days after the election - which was both cleanly fought and decisively won.

Unfortunately I also find that the clear majority of slingers are Obama supporters. Here for example, there is a heap of scornful disdain being lavished on the VP candidate - while the VP elect (who is so obviously, some would say more profoundly, flawed) escapes notice. Isn't he the one who should be the more likely object of critical analysis at this moment?

Was this the "Change" we all had in mind?

Regards to all,

Aggie.

I agree with you, she and the GOP have already paid the price for embarrassing themselves with her, as well as their overall incompetence over the last 8 years. So I'm not upset at all - in fact, everyone I know in silicon valley and the expat community is very happy, especially the younger people. At Google my husband reports they're throwing parties.

It just amazes people in the valley that there are voters who don't value intelligence and knowledge in their leaders. But these voters tend to be older conservative white men, less affluent and less educated, so it really doesn't matter. The future belongs to a new generation.

So time to move on. Last post on this topic.
