Good post Joe. I read a post yesterday by a poster wanting the republicans to put up a bad candidate in 2012 instead of a good one. For some reason, too many people don't get what we need, very good qualified people running for office to serve all of us instead of one party winning/

Great post, Little Joe, and very mature. Regardless of who we supported, wishing for Obama's failure is really self-defeating. Our job now is to hold him to account for his own performance against the many challenges he faces. I voted for Bush in 2000 and I gave him the benefit of the doubt for 4 years, defending him against many of the so-called liberals on these threads. But when his incompetence overwhelmed my desire to defend him, I stopped doing it.

These leaders are just people, not gods, and this isn't a Hollywood popularity contest. If they don't perform, then we kick them out. We just re-affirmed that we have the power to "kick the bums out" in this country, which is what makes us great. This is serious business.

I agree with most of what you post...we all need to get behind Obama and hope that he is successful as President...we as a nation need for him to succeed...

I can only add GO, OBAMA
"...US President-elect Barack Obama will go ahead with plans to build part of a missile defence system in Poland, Warsaw says. ""
