I thought that it might be over turned in the courts on the grounds that it discriminated. I also think gays could easily call their union something other than marriage. It's like waving a red flag in front of a bull.

There could be Civil Unions, Domestic partnerships.. But the biggest thing is receiving all the rights and privileges both in taxation,health care, death benefits etc. I think ultimately that is what gays want. Equal rights.
