It's pretty clear that a lot of damage is considered acceptable in the pursuit of being "right" (not right-wing but 'correct' usually with moral overtones). I view most of it as black/white thinking. You are with us, or against us. No gray, which, in reality, is where nearly all functional solutions exist.

And in spite of the enormous damage, I see very little introspection; rather, inexplicably, there's an increase in the frenetic thinking. And no wonder, based on what's happened this week.

If the focus was on creating a more functional society, solutions would emerge; if the focus were on inclusion rather than exclusion (an ancient evolutionary characteristic); our ulcers would go away.

I've always found it strange that people would chose control over happiness, prosperity, and even longevity.
