It's just a guess, but I don't think The One particularly prescribes to the simplicity of the concept. I think he's spent a great deal of time arguing the issue with all kinds of people who hold all kinds of opinions. I believe he and they have seriously dissected the meaning of our founding documents and wish to apply their own conclusions.
