I would have to imagine that if any of the Big Three went bankrupt: Their sales would tumble even lower and their parts suppliers would balk. I think it's a foregone conclusion that the gov't will bail them out. I just hope they attach some stipulations like higher mpg fuel economy, or CNG research, etc. The U.S. should be leading the world in innovation not following it.

BK is not good, I get that, but why can't the govt let them go through it? Airlines have sure done it, including some big names like Delta, COntinental, Northwest. American just barely avoided it.

People get hurt, but sometimes it's the only way to survive and get rid of the parts that are draining you. Some get eaten, like TWA, but others like Delta, COnt. NW< emerge leaner.
