Interesting post, but liberty covers a broad spectrum. Liberty is more than just gun ownership and home-schooling. If one is consistent, one would also support things like marijuana decriminalization (why does the state get to dictate the chemical components of your bloodstream) and a woman's right to control her own contraception or pregnancy. Typically I've found that conservatives narrowly define liberty to protect things they are fond of, but are then very eager to regulate people's lives otherwise. (Not saying you're in this camp - just a general observation).
