How is that article relevant? It doesn't say anything about rich people in the 50s having less wealth than rich people in the 20s or 30s. It says nothing about tax loopholes. It says nothing about the percentage of income people paid in to income taxes in the 50s. It doesn't address your contention that the people you grew up with controlled the country. It doesn't address any of the points we have been discussing. It may have well been an article about the mating habits of the red-necked phalarope, which would have been only a bit less relevant.
