Yes indeed. But once that selection process is done, it's logical that a person would vote in accordance with their belief.

Remember, I was only responding to Rambi's comment about being sad that the Prop 8 issue was 'polarizing and religious'. My response was that it should be expected that such an issue would be polarizing and grounded in religious philosophy.
