Re: Interesting article: It was really just our pendulum swings theory, but it offered lots of interesting observations on how it swings and factors that bring on the change. OT: Just got back from my swim and had a bad time between lap 70 and 88 with cramping. Was talking to the lifeguard and he said it could be hydration, lack of potassium, overexertion, and then he said very politely, "and you have to be careful not to push your body too hard when you're- um.." I could see him die a thousand deaths as he tried to think of some word that wouldn't insult me. Old? I offered. Past my shelf life? NEar death anyway? Nono!! he cried. When you're - not 21 anymore. ANyway, the real problem dawned on me as I was leaving. I was in Lane FOUR.
