That's the BIG FAT LIE pushed by the extreme right. It's totally dishonest and despicable. The VAST majority of foreclosures weren't covered by that act.

Yes, that was one cause. Another cause was the Gramm-Bliley-Leach Act pushed by Republicans. Both parties were at fault and negligent in ignoring the crisis as it developed. Only partisans would try to blame one party or the other. The facts point to both parties being at fault.
