Bought the dip in Hell-Claw (HL) at 1.70. They can produce at very low cost if need be, they aren't going away (though they're priced like it).....

<<<Looks like their 6.9 million share dilution to acquire Independance
Lead Mines didn't sit too well with a major holder
---
if i understand this, the dilution the above number x a couple bucks a share roughly, which is a small percentage of the market cap of the stock...so didn't the stock lose more today than the entire value of shares to be exchanged for the above purchase ?
---
what did the downgrade say ?

Slider,
Despite the rise in monetary base, shadow stats shows a precipitous drop in M3 in the last few months. THis suggests the destruction of credit is greater than what the Fed can do to inflate the money supply. Since the gold bugs constantly pointed out the rise in M3 as a justification for gold's rise, it shouldn't be ignored just because it is falling. I'm thinking full on deflation for some time, your third option. . M3 show no sign of turning up. Not good for gold or gold stocks. You could say the stocks have been telling us this for months now.

<<<PPPS: re: Hecla...

We got a bounce to $2.89, so I moved stops up to $2.65, then got 1/2
stopped out at $2.65... and then the final 1/2 at my original entry @ $2.45.
Ended up making .10 cents/4%. Didn't chase any yesterday, or today.

nice for you that you made on this one, but may i inquire as to why didn't you post your exit a day earlier ?
