But, if you knew that Palin really did believe that Africa was a nation, wouldn't you agree that would be more than a gaffe? At the least, a sign of a serious lack of education, at the most, a sign of stupidity?

I disagree. All of us make mistakes occasionally when speaking. On the other hand, Palin consistently made mistakes. She showed very little interest in policy issues. Two months after getting nominated she still didn't know the responsibilities of the VP. She has a very poor academic resume......having gone to 5 colleges in six years. I suspect she's extremely shallow and self indulgent.
