With possible rare exceptions everyone in this country heard about Obama's church of 20 years even if they were not well informed. Anyone who can ignore that simply doesn't want to know the truth. This thread frequently praises conservative blacks who have risen above victimhood. Unfortunately Obama isn't one of them.

They heard there was some kerfluffle about a church, but they didn't hear why unless they watched Fox or the Rev. Wright himself. If you get your news from the New York Times, you never even heard that Wright had damned America from the pulpit. Frontline described TUCC as a church where upscale blacks went to get a weekly dose of militantism, implicitly brushing off Wright as a mere entertainer. Bill Moyers did everything in his power to softpedal and apologize for him, which would have worked a lot better if Wright hadn't given his speeches to the NAACP and the National Press Club just afterwards, in which Wright described how miffed he was at the way Moyers had misrepresented his views.
