the thing is that if the gay community wants gay marriage they are going to have to leave this part of their lives out of the schools. That one incident where the SF teacher invited her students to her wedding to her partner killed this vote. In the "no on 8" conference hall after the election where they were shocked at the outcome of 8, they had this same woman up there talking. Thats what lost it for them.
