"There is a list of issues with checkmarks. There is no option for marijuana." I think that would be rather low on his priority list, if it's even on it. I'd just forget it for the next four years. As a second-term thing he might do it. It would need to be pitched as a job creator for growers and as a vice to tax heavily. The medical aspects would help too, but why not just be honest and say that it's a great way to relax the beats the hell out of alcohol and other drugs. No one's EVER OD'd smoking dope.
